One focused plugin

The bidding workflow your service marketplace was missing.

BidPlugin adds the job posting and sealed bid system. You keep your theme, content, SEO stack, hosting, and customer relationships.

01

Front-end job posting

Customers publish project details without entering the WordPress dashboard. Add categories and custom fields for your niche.

02

Private contractor bids

Each registered provider submits one sealed price and proposal. Only the job owner and site administrator can view it.

03

Winner selection

The customer reviews proposals, chooses a winner, and closes bidding. BidPlugin emails the participants automatically.

04

Customer dashboards

Members see the jobs they posted and the bids they submitted from a clean front-end dashboard.

05

Deadline controls

Set bid deadlines, keep completed opportunities out of the open feed, and let providers withdraw before selection.

06

Automatic core pages

Activation creates Browse Jobs, Post a Job, and Bid Dashboard pages. No shortcode scavenger hunt required.

From install to first bid

A simple reverse bidding flow.

Instead of buyers competing to purchase one item, qualified providers compete to win a customer’s project.

Install

Upload the plugin ZIP, activate it, and let BidPlugin create the essential marketplace pages.

Publish

A customer describes the job, chooses a category, sets a deadline, and submits the opportunity.

Bid

Registered contractors privately submit their price, timing, and proposal. Competitors cannot see the bids.

Award

The job owner selects a provider. The job closes and every bidder gets the result by email.

AI-assisted setup

Describe the marketplace. Let AI build the starting structure.

Starting a construction bid board? A car-wrap quote site? A home-services marketplace? Tell BidPlugin what you are building and review a suggested configuration before anything changes.

  • Suggested marketplace labels and calls to action
  • Niche-specific job categories
  • Custom intake fields for better project briefs
  • Editable JSON preview before approval
  • Bring your own OpenAI API key

AI setup is optional. Generated configuration always requires administrator approval.

Not another auction plugin

Sell the job—not a product.

Traditional auction plugins raise the price of an item. BidPlugin reverses the direction: a customer posts work, providers compete for the opportunity, and proposals stay private.

Questions before you build

BidPlugin FAQ

Is BidPlugin a WordPress theme?

No. It is a plugin designed to work with your existing theme. BidPlugin supplies the job, bidding, dashboard, and winner-selection workflow while your theme controls the site’s visual design.

Is this a WooCommerce auction plugin?

No. BidPlugin is built for bidding on jobs and services, not for auctioning products. WooCommerce checkout and payment processing are not included in the current release.

Are bids public?

No. Bid amounts and proposals are visible only to the job owner and site administrators. This sealed-bid model keeps providers from simply undercutting the lowest visible offer.

Does it process payments or escrow?

Not in the current release. BidPlugin records jobs, proposals, bid amounts, deadlines, withdrawals, and winner selections. Payments and escrow remain outside the plugin.

Can it create the required pages?

Yes. When activated, BidPlugin creates Browse Jobs, Post a Job, and Bid Dashboard pages with the correct shortcodes. You can place them in your menu and style them through your theme.

How does the AI setup work?

You provide your own OpenAI API key, describe the marketplace, and receive a proposed set of labels, categories, and job fields. You can edit the JSON and must approve it before changes are applied.

Can I use it for construction bidding?

Yes. Construction, subcontractor, home-service, creative-service, and local quote marketplaces are natural fits. You can create categories and custom project fields for your niche.

What should I test before launching?

Use separate customer and contractor accounts, verify email delivery through SMTP, test mobile layouts with your theme, review permissions, and run a complete job-to-winner workflow.
